I braved the cold and went out for groceries this afternoon. It actually warmed up enough so the snow was melting and the drips were forming icicles under the eaves.
While I was out, I stopped at the local Fish Fry to pick up dinner to go. Mom likes their deep fried shrimp dinner that comes with fries and cole slaw. I ordered the fish and chips dinner for myself.
When I got home, mother dear is on the sofa, watching a basketball game on TV, and eating ice cream out of the carton. I did a quick switcheroo and got the ice cream back in the freezer and the shrimp dinner in her hands. She nearly finished it. That is a lot of food as I only managed to eat half of mine.
After dinner I was picking up and putting away the groceries. She asks, "Is there any ice cream out there?" Yup. I returned the carton to her with a spoon. She looked at me like I had two heads and wondered why I didn't dish it up for her. When I explained that she had been eating from the carton about 20 minutes ago, she furrowed her eyebrows and shrugged.

Do you ever get enough fish and chips?????
I had an aunt who had a system for eating ice cream out of the carton. :-)
Julian, it isn't as bad as it sounds. The last fish and chips I had before that was with you!
Whew! I was worried it was all you lived on! Let me know when you want to get some more....
