Happy Halloween — Help Yourself!

I try to manage the door during Halloween so mom doesn't have to get up and down tending to the trick or treaters. Last night I had a last minute emergency with a client and had to get on the computer.

I left the bowls of Mary Janes and Dum Dum pops on the television by the door for quick access. As I'm working away in the other room, I hear my mother open the door and say, "Help yourself!" The kids must have been well behaved because there was actually some candy left by the time I was able to get up and check on them.

It was a pretty slow night last night even though it was quite warm. Only about 65 costumed visitors but that could be because it was a weeknight. Last year we had about 80. In California, we would have between 400 and 500 and would panic that we were running out of treats!!!
