Candy Gram

In September, the folks who mow our lawn asked me to buy something from their daughter to support a school fundraiser. I selected the chocolate bark from the catalog because I remember my mother always liked Fannie Farmer (now in bankruptcy and similar to Sees on the West Coast) bark when we were growing up. For those of you that have never had bark, it is simply chocolate poured on a baking sheet to be about 4" wide and 3/4" thick and resembles tree bark. Kinda like an free-form chocolate bar. Mom always liked the version with almonds.

Yesterday mower lady stopped by to drop off the candy. I was out back and mother dear answered the door. When I came back in, she told me someone she recognized had dropped off a present for me. It was really for us. Mmmm, chocolate.
