Shenanigans Karma

I believe in karma. I also believe that the more self aware you are, the quicker you realize that karma when it comes back to haunt you.

We have an "atomic clock" that syncs up automatically with a satellite. Besides the time, it has the date, internal temperature, the phase of the moon, etc. When you replace the batteries, it takes a while for it to receive the time signal and reset the clock.

The clock's batteries died yesterday so I replaced them. As I set it back on top of the television, I noted that the time was way off since it reset to 12:00 a.m. Mother dear never knows what time it is, and she always gets confused when the cuckoo clock stops running but she sees the time displayed when it stopped. So I giggled to myself when I thought about her looking at the atomic clock with its incorrect time.

The battery operated clock in the den where I sleep has been slowing down and I've needed to put a new AA in there, too. Remember I started the post talking about karma? The clock stopped at 7 a.m. this morning. When I woke up, I thought it was awfully light out for being so early in the morning. Well it was really 9:20. The joke was on me. Serves me right!
