Manny, the woolly mammoth from the animated Ice Age movies, has a very distinctive voice. The character is played by Ray Romano. However, my mom is absolutely positive that it's the voice of my Godfather...a man I never really knew. We have some old photos in albums of him and my Godmother holding me. They lived at the end of our street and she was best friends with my mother so that is how they became my Godparents. They moved shortly after I was born and baptized, and they were divorced not long after that. This all took place in the late 1960's and the last time my parents saw them was in the early 70's. They are both deceased now.
All I can say is that I had a Godfather with a funny voice!

Took me awhile to find your blog -- yes, we are having some common experiences. It's heartbreaking. And we're just at the beginning as my Dad is moving in with me by the end of next month. He just can't do it on his own any more. I'll be visiting your blog!
