It was about 8:30 a.m. when two young deer (only one in the photo) were by the house helping themselves to a breakfast consisting mostly of our roses. I called in to mom so she wouldn't miss the spectacle occurring right outside her bedroom window. They couldn't see us because the windows were showing a reflection, and couldn't smell us either which is usually when they turn their tails into white flags and dart away, so we watched them for about 10 minutes before they wandered back into the field from whence they came.
I'd say they were fawns because they were born this summer but they have lost their spots so I think they are now "teenagers." While they are cute and fun to watch, they are a bit destructive.
